New Marlboro Brands: Marlboro Gold Touch and Marlboro Gold Fine Touch

Philip Morris Sales and Marketing declared that latest products Marlboro Gold Touch and Marlboro Gold Fine Touch are coming in a totally new format, offering slim cigarettes in the king-size format and available in versions of mild flavor.

Marlboro Gold Touch

Marlboro Gold Touch and Marlboro Gold Fine Touch cigarettes provide traditional length (85mm), but are of smaller width (7.1mm). These innovative cigarettes are designed for adult cigarette-smokers, who are loyal to traditional tobacco products, but don’t mind changes. According to the manufacturer, Marlboro Gold Touch comprises 0.5mg of nicotine and 6mg of tar, while Marlboro Gold Fine Touch offers 0.4mg of nicotine and 4mg of tar.

The main features of the newest varieties of world’s best-selling Marlboro cigarette account for absolutely new qualities: specially selected tobacco formula, narrower circumference, application of coal filter, elegant and modern design of the packs, Philip Morris declared in official statement. The company used innovative twofold coal filters, offering milder and more harmonious flavor, for the first time in its history. Before that, Marlboro cigarettes were equipped with combined or acetate filters.

Marlboro Gold Touch and Marlboro Gold Fine Touch are produced at “Philip Morris Izhora” unit, one of the biggest manufacture plants of the company. The plant is located in Leningrad region, Russian Federation. In order to start production of the new products, Philip Morris acquired new production line, worth $12 million. “The development of Marlboro brand keeps going,” stated Sergey Slipchenko, director of Philip Morris Sales and Marketing. “Today we are expanding “Marlboro Gold family”, by launching totally new product, coming as slim-sized cigarette in king-size format. Only 12 months after the introduction of Marlboro Gold Edge, ultra-slim cigarettes, Marlboro launches another new product, Marlboro Gold Touch and Marlboro Gold Fine Touch, exclusive and mild cigarettes. These cigarettes come in innovative format, not known to adult smokers until today,” added Slipchenko.

Director of Philip Morris Sales and Marketing said that Marlboro is the best-selling cigarette brand in premium category on the worldwide market, mentioning that Marlboro brand has been offering elite quality products for many decades. Adult cigarette-lovers select Marlboro brand since it is classic product; however, the consumers want to get not only a famous product, but also a modern one. So, in order to live up to the requirements, Philip Morris International created such popular innovative products as Marlboro Gold Edge and Marlboro Filter Plus, and now we add Marlboro Gold Touch and Marlboro Gold Fine Touch to the family of innovative Marlboro cigarettes, said Slipchenko.
